Comments:
I went to Duke along with three members of our New Trier East class. I then went to grad school at Northwestern and Kansas State, getting a Ph. D. in Microbiology. I taught at what is now the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, leaving to raise two children and write a novel. I haven't published the novel yet but have published short stories, essays and poetry. I am also a semi professional lyric coloratura soprano and sing in three choirs and act in community theater.
My husband Frank was a classmate from Duke whom I married in 1980.
