MY FAVORITE "JOB" was guiding NT students on canoe trips to the Quetico Provincial park, Ontario. but then it was on to law school and a grind which continues to this day. I've been fortunate to see much of the world, including the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.

School Story:

1] First day of school. 4th period. Freshman boys had swimming as their first PE class. Guys who had been to the pool already were talking about the crazy swim coach, who had given his famous "gaboon speech". The guys didn't know the coach was my father. I kept my mouth shut and enjoyed the reactions.
2] 12-9-1974. Roger Carlstrom's mom [she was secretary to the adviser chairmen] called me out of class and told me to go home right away. I got home and opened that wonderful "we are pleased..." letter of admission to college.

can this be the same patrick Linehan who went to Camp Woodland in the late 1950s? ironically, i was in Eagle River last summer and went there. No more horses or wooden canoes, but the land remains. that was quite a kick in the ass to such an old guy. I still even have my 4 yearbooks! i hope you're well, and that we'll see you at the reunion.

Happy birthday bowman. Was talking with Billy Hoyt recently. The subject of a Quetico reunion trip came up. Interested in a return to the wilderness? Hope all’s well
