After graduating from NTE, I attended DePauw in Greencastle, IN. Dave and I met there and got married shortly after graduation. I received a degree in Elementary Education and taught in the public schools in Indiana for 8 years, mostly 4th & 5th grades. During this time I completed an MSE in Elementary Ed and an Endorsement in Learning Disabilities.
When Brian and Michelle were born, I stayed home to take care of them. During this time, we moved to Illinois. As they got older, I began to think about going back to work, but I decided that I really wanted to do something completely different. I went back to school and got an accounting degree from NIU, completing it in 2002. I've been working as an accountant since then.
Brian lives in the city, is a CPA at a law firm, and is getting married this summer. Michelle got her undergrad degree in journalism, freelances for some local newspapers, and just found out she's been accepted to U of I's school of Library & Information Science.
I've lived in the mid-west my entire life and am amazed at all of the diverse places everyone lives! I would like to wish everyone the best of luck with whatever path you have chosen in life. Who knows when our paths will cross again...
