Darryl M. Frank, 70, July 29, 2023. Devoted father of Rachyl, the light of his life; dear son of Albert and the late Patricia; much loved brother of Lauren (Jason) Rose, Clarette, Donny (the late Josh) Kohnke, Bernard (Debbie), Joe, the late Deborah and the late Bruce; uncle to many. Darryl had a love of all things history. He would share the history of just about anything, regardless if you asked or not. He loved current events and would never shy from a debate. Darryl had a passion for music and especially loved playing the trombone, often on a balcony. He started in the family business, went on to become a Deputy Sheriff with Cook County, proudly served as a Democratic precinct captain, then went on to be a home inspector. Darryl’s absence will be felt by all who knew him. Memorial donations in his honor may be made to Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, www.fidf.org. Damn... I am so sorry I never took the time to find Daryl since Jr. High.  We were pretty close friends friends then and I would spend a great deal of time at his house which I think was on vernon just north of town a few blocks.  We had such a great time, but my family moved me to California and we lost touch.

My best to his family for the loss as he was definitely a one-of-a-kind guy.  This seems to happen a lot now that we are getting older.  Even though I hadn't spoken to Daryl since grade school I've actually thought of him occasionally and some of the fun times we had.  May you rest in peace.
