Barbara Lapine, 36, a former Wilmette resident, died Saturday in Cincinnati after a long illness. She was a systems specialist in Cincinnati for Centel, the telephone systems company. She studied at New Trier West High School in Northfield before attending college in Ohio. She is survived by her parents, David and Dorothy Lapine; and a brother.
