I helped Michael get elected to N-Club, on the condition that if he was elected, he would remove me from the ranks of members, making me possibly the first and only male student to not be a member of N-Club. (What good is a club that you are automatically entered into by virtue of a Y chromosome?). Michael, Steve Schulman and I were in a band together called "The Leaves of Grass." I remember the care with which he emblazoned the band name on his bass drum. I'm sorry not to have been able to see him again.

I believe that we lost Mike in 2007, from what his wife, Joyce wrote to the reunion we had in October
2009 for our Central School, Glencoe class of 1967.
He was a wonderful guy, one of my closest friends ever and I miss him very much. No one had a
better sense of humor and thoughtful way about him. His picture in the Echos 1971 ( "the body
that N-club built") is the way I will always remember him. I can't believe that he is gone.
