Nora (Richter) Greer
passed away from Cancer at the age of 61, on August 20, 2015. She is survived by Bill Greer, a fellow New Trier Graduate
The following was submitted by friend and classmate, Deb Nagel:
"Nora lived life with gusto. Her never ending love for learning, writing, architecture, collections of Pez dispensers, books, travel and changing and creating her home with Bill were just some of her passions. The cancer began a good 5 years ago or so. Right up to the end, Nora was making plans for trips to Bill and her Wisconsin house with friends and making a exercise/ workroom over their garage. She refused to give in to this nasty cancer. But it won out. Now she is without pain. But there was still so much to do... A life that ended too young. Please reach out to Nora's husband, Bill Greer. With no children, he will need lots of love."

Nora was a wonderful friend from our first days in Mrs. Duba's homeroom class at Howard Jr. High (who could forget "Duba's Dingos"?) until the last time we emailed in August when she and Bill were up at their lake house "puttering around the cabin." To lose such a long-time, dear friend is indescribable. We were supposed to "take care of each other in our dotage." That was our deal, but it was not to be. I miss her every day and know that Bill Greer is one lucky man to have had Nora in his life for 40 years. Bill's loving tribute to Nora is below:

I remember Nora Richter as being a very sweet girl with a "light up" smile. No pretentions about her at all, and what a sweet soul she was. I guess she and Bill Greer were high school sweethearts who were married for many years. Why are the good ones taken? Her passing made me very sad. God bless her family and friends.
