This post is in memory of Ben Swiggett, kind, thoughtful friend and immediate past Berkeley Bike Club President. Ben was a kind, patient and deeply thoughtful soul. He suffered a catastrophic medical crisis yesterday on a ride. He massively grew club membership dedicating significant time to create a diverse and inclusive BBC. He was 64 married with four children. An MBA graduate in marketing and undergraduate from Colgate.

Ben was a long time friend that I met at NTE so many years ago
and reconnected again when I lived in the Bay Area and was great at understanding
my personal lack of phone calling (something all my friends understand and don't hold against me)
Any how he was a great friend who always was there when it counts like when my Mom/Dad passed
Gonna miss him on this side but will definitely see him when I get back there

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Ben's sudden death. He was such a nice guy. My condolences go out to his family, and his children in particular. RIP Ben!
