I have been wondering about Jim, off and on, for years.  He was a dear friend at New Trier West- and I am so sad to see him included here.  He was the first person I ever heard use the word "gams"!  He always made me laugh.  Rest in peace, Jim.

I knew Jim well when we attended Hubbard Woods School. We were part of a group of boys who loved to play football,  and baseball, followed the Greenbay Packers and were, well general clowns in class, driving various teachers crazy. Jim and our friends would gather at his house and in nearby fields to play and he was a very popular because he was always loyal to his friends and had an terrific sense of humor. It was always fun being around him. I went overseas with my family while he and our other circle went on to Skokie JH. When I returned for ninth grade, he was the first one to welcome me back and we went right into our usual activities of Touch Football, pick up baseball but now added Christ Church Dances (where we were both part of the Youth Group), and lots of other things. I moved away again at the end of tenth grade and rarely made it back to the North Shore. I did hear that he had passed away and was shocked and saddenned as I always remembered him as one of the nicest guys to know and a truly loyal friend.
