Charles Dallstream

Charles Gerald Dallstream, 67, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020, at North Kansas City Hospital, from cancer.

 

Charles was born on February 11, 1953, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Guy and Rosalia (Belfing) Dallstream. He was united in marriage to Susan Virginia Malone of Gladstone on March 23, 1975; she survives of the home.

 

Additional survivors include: two sons, Christopher (Heather) Dallstream of Baker City, OR, and Brian (Katherine) Dallstream of Wake Forrest, NC; three grandchildren: Isaac Mallon Dallstream, Christopher James Dallstream, and Riley Ellis Dallstream; twin brother, Ronald (Susan) Dallstream of Taylorville, IL; brother, Sam (Carlotta) Dallstream of Millersburg, MI; three sisters: Mary (Thomas) Jasquin of St. Charles, Renee Simpson of Willard, and Rose (Clifford) Sisco of Alton; and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Charles attended Alton High School in Alton, and the University of Missouri – Columbia. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Education Vocational Agriculture, and a Masters in Vocational Agriculture. After teaching, Charles was hired by the federal government, serving as a loan officer for Farmers Home Administration and Farm Service Agency, until he retired in 2011. 

 

Charles was a long-time member of the Boy Scouts of America, he belonged to the Order of the Arrow, and the tribe of Mic-O-Say. He was a member of the United Christian Presbyterian Church in Richmond. Charles enjoyed reading western novels, woodworking, camping and playing with his grandsons. 

 

He will be remembered as a loving and caring man who had a great sense of humor and he will be greatly missed.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Boy Scout Troop #324 of Richmond. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.

 

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
