Susan J. Aschbacher , 59, of Spooner passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Benedictine Living Community, Spooner. 

Susan was born on April 14, 1953, to Fred and Helen Aschbacher in Evanston, Ill. She grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago. 

Music was a huge part of her life. She played with many bands and worked with many accomplished musicians. 

Susan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a part of their worship team. She loved to spend time on her farm with her animals and in her garden, doing her best to bring healthy, organic foods to the community. She was very hardworking and driven, but would drop anything in an instant to help anyone. 

Susan was preceded in death by her father, Fred. 

She is survived by her son, Michael Aschbacher ; mother, Helen Aschbacher ; brothers, Steven (Emily), David (Maria), and James (Lisa) Aschbacher ; sister, Caryl (Ron) Johnson; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and many friends. 

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spooner. 

Visitation will be held for an hour prior to the service at the church.
